Kenneth S. Peters, M.D

Medical Director:
Kenneth S. Peters, M.D. is a nationally recognized leader in the field of comprehensive headache treatment. He is a Board Certified Internist, Diplomat of the American Academy of Pain Management and an active member of the American Headache Society, and the National Headache Foundation, and Certified by the American Board of Holistic Medicine. He serves as Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine, University of California San Francisco Medical Center.

Year after year, Dr. Peters has been voted one of “top docs of Silicon Valley” by San Jose Magazine readers and more recently “top doctor” by Doctors Improving Healthcare. He has published a number of articles on effective headache management and has done extensive clinical research in the areas of new headache medication. He also practices general internal medicine and is active on the medical staff at El Camino Hospital. He lectures frequently to physicians for continuing education credit and the general public on effective headache management.

Dr. Peters also practices internal medicine and can serve as your primary care physician as well as your headache specialist

Program Director:
Alfred L. Scopp, Ph.D. licensed psychologist, co-founded the headache clinic in 1980. He teaches self-care skills for long term headache prevention and control. He received a Masters from Yale and a Ph.D. specializing in biofeedback and stress reduction from Duke University. He is an active member of the American Headache Society, a Diplomate of the American Academy of Pain Management and on the Allied Health Staff at El Camino Hospital. He has published a number of research papers on headache triggers and teaches primary care physicians biofeedback and headache self-care skills throughout the United States.
